5 Morning Yoga Poses to Start Your Day Right

Morning yoga is a gentle and effective way to transition from sleep into a state of alert presence. Here are five foundational poses to add to your daily routine:

1. Mountain Pose (Tadasana)

Stand tall, feet together, arms relaxed at your sides. Inhale deeply, grounding your feet and lifting through the crown of your head.

2. Cat-Cow Pose (Marjaryasana/Bitilasana)

On all fours, alternate arching and rounding your spine to awaken the back and open the chest.

3. Downward Dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana)

From tabletop, lift your hips into an inverted V-shape. Stretch your spine and hamstrings while engaging your core.

4. Low Lunge (Anjaneyasana)

Step one foot forward, bend the front knee, and lower the opposite knee to the mat. Raise your arms and stretch your hip flexors.

5. Easy Seated Pose with Breath Awareness (Sukhasana)
